First, accidents happen all the time so please do not beat yourself up because it does not help the situation. This is hard to do, but you should try.
Second, call your insurance company and report the accident. This will expedite the repairs to your vehicle and put you in a rental if you have that option on your policy.
Third, if you are injured there are a couple of ways to get treatment. Find out from your adjuster if you have PIP (Personal Injury Protection). It will pay for medical treatment. You can also use your health insurance as well.
Remember, we all pay for car insurance for this very reason, if I cause an accident my insurance will take care of me and the person I hit.
