Increase your policy limits on your car insurance.

I cannot say this enough. I sound like a broken record, but I keep bumping into this issue. Increase your policy limits to at least $100,000/$300,000. Preferrable at least $300,000 to be honest. In catastrophic car accidents where the injuries are severe, a $30,000 policy from the at fault driver will tick you off. Seriously.
